Fishing Reports

The trout were fired up for some spring PMD hatches on the Lower Sacramento River the last three days.  Each day had some slow spells followed by longer periods of excellent fishing!  Fishing in the morning has been tough but productive enough.  The afternoons, on the other hand, have been terrific!  In the last three days, I’ve seen quality hatches of PMDs, BWOs, and Caddis. The local rainbows have been keying in on each of them—sometimes all in the same day as was the case on Sunday. I expect all of these hatches to continue for about another month—after that, we should be seeing primarily caddis.
